I once remember reading that "back in the day", and the day included when the GT40's were running, that cars either had to have space for, or actually had to carry, this box simulating a suitcase. Anyone else have a thought? Thanks

I've recently dug out an old GT40 model kit and I'm just a bit confused even though I have, I think, a better than average knowledge of them. It seems to be a 1964 Mark I with the Indy engine, wire wheels and Dunlops. Yet, the nose seems to be a 65 and has canard. Is there any thought as to...
