Is there a build log anywhere for the SL-C?

They were the Raptor and the Consulier. They were amazingly ugly. To quote road and track, "It has a look that makes mama bears want to eat their young." Not sure if Warren Mosler himself penned that shap (on an etch-n-sketch no doubt) but he said all that really mattered was it was fast. Not...

A couple SL-C questions from a new guy

A continuous weld is often not necessary. If you think of a bolted or riveted part, the connection occurs at spaced intervals. The welding on the SL-C is done by experienced pro's using the latest machinery (one of the advantages of being in Detroit) and I suspect they would have cried foul if...

Is there a build log anywhere for the SL-C?

To be fair unless the Mosler you saw is a year or less old you were comparing a pre-production model. Mosler only recently started public delivery (George Lucas got the first one). Those earlier cars were track focus only and had no interior to speak of. They just stuck a stereo in there and a...

    All-Wheel Drive Superlite Coupe?

At some point the shear amount of modification you would have to do to the chassis is plain undoable. No amount of money, time or skill is going t change the fact that the back bone is centrally located. If you scrap the triangulated square tubing, and move the seats outboard (causing problems...

    All-Wheel Drive Superlite Coupe?

Man I hate not being able to edit. Forgive the spell checking, I submitted before I was done. The interior is large but seats are moved inboard. The area between seats is only about 3 inches and it is occupied by the mono's back bone tubing.

    Editing posts

What is the reason behind not allowing the poster to edit their post. Generally one mispells or forgets something or realizes after the fact that the way it was phrased made no sense or was confusing. This is the only board I belong to (and I belong to dozens) that does not allow editing of...

    All-Wheel Drive Superlite Coupe?

There are a lot of pictures of the SL-c interiro on this forum, on the RCR site and in various magazines. No offense but have you ever looked at them.?? There is no room between the seats. None. Zero.

    R C R Nemesis

At that point all you need is about 400,000 quid and you can set yourself on fire with one of these.

    R C R Nemesis

I can't help but think that you just described the SL-R. In fact I am hard pressed to think of another mid engined, open topped and single seat car that was actively marketed as a road car. I have to wonder if there really is a market for it at all. -Open top -Mid-engine -Single seat -Road...

    My view of the SL-C

Too a point but moving pick up points is an art and not easily repeated if it does not quite work out. More importantly there is a very limited amount of movement available in most applications as the chassis may not have the proper support for the pickup point in other places. Bottom line...
