Im in Wollongong, but get to Sydney often. Do you have a UN5 case or shaft? I could come up and measure them.
I'm hoping the GT40 "Brains Trust" can shed some light on any difference between the UN1 and the UN5, that would stop the use of the Albins UN5 1st and 2nd gear set in the UN1 case.

Possible problems maybe: Different centers spacing, primary to secondary shafts, difference...

Sorry I was in a rush with the last post. I should have said its a 1UZ-FE auto bell housing bolted to the mid mounting plate, with the original V6 UN1 bell housing cut down and milled to make a face plate for the gearbox.
Here is the photo again with the holes marked. They are about 40mm deep and in the same place on both sides of the transmission.
I see in the Renault oil leak post that you have these holes with a bracket fitted to them.
The extra radial load place on the output splines is my main concern. I’m using Holden Commodore drive shafts which for Northern Hemisphere readers are large Lobro type CV’s that I think would take the loads and if not are a dime a dozen.
