New Tremec TR-9070 DCT in a SLC?

Won't be able to get from Tremec - they are bound to their contract with Chevy for many years - this will have to be developed standalone.

New Tremec TR-9070 DCT in a SLC?

Hi Johan, That's right, the system is ECU-agnostic - it can work with any. The more well-supported ECU's (eg. Motec, GM/Ford OEM, Life Racing, Marelli, Bosch Motorsport, etc) will allow for a cleaner install as we know ECU CANbus signals for those options, but in situations where none of that...

New Tremec TR-9070 DCT in a SLC?

Hi Roger - the clutch pedal and master are removed in the system. It’s all controlled by the hydraulic pump and modification of the e-throttle signal.

New Tremec TR-9070 DCT in a SLC?

If anyone has $50k to spend on the C8 DCT, we've had conversations with Tremec and done some investigation on the controls - we can make that gearbox work in a non-native platform. Regarding the Graziano-based system HCF offers - that uses the factory synchronized gears and doesn't suffer the...

    HCF Graziano Sequential conversion kit

Video of the final product, tested and programmed, below! My hope is we'll see customer installs sometime in Q1 and the kit in widespread use soon thereafter. Anticipating varied end uses, we paired the base tune for the kit to 4 different clutches: - HCF Kevlar clutch/flywheel - for street...

    CIMA Transaxles

Hi Mark, Thanks for the kind words! To clarify, the pricing on this particular 6-speed is driven largely by the need to make several parts one-off to complete it. CIMA will still support the gearbox as needed, but isn't maintaining an inventory of parts or actively selling the unit. Best, John

    Graz & Shift Adjustment

I agree with Ken - likely the shifter. Drop gear has no impact on what you’re describing; nor would synchros - if the fluid were the issue you’d have problems with shifting into other gears.

    Graz & Shift Adjustment

Dan - the shop advised you wrong. Not being able to get back into first until the car stops is NOT a characteristic of this gearbox. I speak both from personal experience, having more than one in my own car, and from feedback from numerous customers. Best, John

New Transaxle Comparison / Discussion Thread

John - a lot of nice options out there for front engine, rear drive cars out there. How does this new option help those with a mid-engine layout? Best, John
