I've not been around for the last 18 months or so, so looking forward to catching up with you all again. A big thanks for the invite to the Christmas party, had other arrangements though sorry. Hope to make the next Surrey meeting though - is it still at the top of Newlands Corner ? John...

    Currency exchange in the UK

Thanks Dave, I didn't know that about Thos Cook and the limit of 100 yoyo notes. We have been sat in a restaurant in France before now, and the waiter has gone across to the bank to change the note to smaller currency for us before we could pay for the food. Nice man :) We usually pay by...

    My Barn (motor cycle) find.

Pete, maybe next time you need to start the 40 up with some straight through pipes, give em something to really complain about  Very nice find, lucky bugger. Finds like that are becoming rarer and rarer as now people expect everything to be worth a lot of money regardless of whether...

    Currency exchange in the UK

david, how can they charge a different rate for different notes ? surely an exchange rate is an exchange rate, regardless of the size of note... I usually try to never take anything bigger than 50s, as even they get checked at some of the more out of the way places (Spain especially)...

    Shelby Sues Internet Forum

this makes me very sad. Whilst I can see all points he is making to generally be true (they do look alike, they do refer to cobra etc etc) what is the point of all this, given just how long they have been producing them ? The people that go buy FF cobras most likely can't afford a CS cobra...

    heat shrink hose clamps

I would assume that the engine heat will ensure they maintain as much shrink as they can. My concern would be whether they soften with the applied heat, and so potentially stretch under pressure. Still, they look like a smart idea if they have none of the potential problems. Give them a go...

    OOps!! Stig unveiled

so I wonder if that means he will be sacked too now. Funny thing is, if you google his name it seems speculation over it being him goes back to 2005, just no one has proven it until now :)

    HT Lead Crimp tool

Hi Paul, I suspect the one on vehiclewiringproducts.co.uk are the same as yours. which seem to be the preferred crimpers. Or maybe buy a kit with crimps and tool together. HT Terminal Kit I haven't used any others, so can't comment on quality. A guy has posted on the Cobra forum to...

Dave, nice record, nice vid, nice daughter too. I hope they do well with the song. Is your daughter part of the band, or an extra for the video ? All the best, John. p.s. would be good to catch up at an area meeting some time soon, hows the pills ? ;)

Carroll Shelby vs Factory Five Racing

Ah, I understand now you pointed that out Keith, thanks. Bill, the idea is that not ALL (or rather, everybodys) PMs go to 'Mr Moderator', only those sent to the moderator requesting intervention. Its like having one login that all the moderators share (if they wish) and can manage...
