Any idea what this LSD is worth, if anything??

Now that I know what this LSD is, I guess now the question is...is there any $$ value to this type of LSD? And what other boxes will this fit/work with?

I am in Massachusetts, I had an open diff from/with my last project and it worked fine. I have no need for the LSD and quite simply if I can sell it to offset the cost of the trans I will. If not I will use it.

I do not know how to grade the LSD for condition, From what I was told it came out of a 1990 G50 with 36K miles (can not confirm the miles). I pulled the trigger and bought the trans today but I would prefer the open diff. Make me an offer. Here is a photo.

So for a used one I should be thinking $600.00-$800.00? Does that sound right?

What is a LSD for a G50 worth? I am looking at a G50-03 with LSD and do not want the LSD, any thoughts on value for just the limited slip?

The Passat I think has either the weaker 012 or the o1x, look for FWD. I know they came in the A4 Some a6 and most of the S models but not all. In the UK they still used, in some Audis, the 01e in 2004 models. Do a google search I found a lot of info. Just type 01e or 01x (a little weaker...

The 01e is much easier found in the UK, In the USA they came in Audi A6 2.7 and many A4. Lots of info in the search on this site. Also look a couple post Down under yours at the "L33" thread has good info in there.

Is the Audi 016 shorter (height wise) than the G50-20. How do these compare dimensionally?

The 012 is stronger then the 016? I know the o1e is better or even the o1x but I can not seem to find one. OK kit car 101, do these Audi gear boxed need to be inverted like the G50 to work in the mid-engine design?. Also who do you recommend to rebuild a 016 or 012, what is the rough cost?
