    M20 Dreaming

Hey guys, the progress on the car has got to a point that I no longer need my big workshop as it's just assembly and small items so moving it back to my garage at home. I have sold my big Lathe and going to have to get rid of a lot of stuff I won't have room to store which will include the body...

    Custom transaxle

Just a side note, I have learned from all this and the parts I have made since are much better from it. John was the first to get the things I was doing early on and it was unfortunate he was the test man. That was the arrangement I thought we had I made absolutely no money from any of the parts...

    Custom transaxle

OK The first problem was a bearing failure due to the arrangement of the main shaft it was an era on my part which I have taken ownership of and repaired, the second fail I believe was the lock nut came off the pinion and destroyed the R&P Which I also offered to repair but this has not been...

    Custom transaxle

Hello guys, been quite a while since I last posted on this and we all know that there has been some problems with the trans that is in Aussie. I don't see them as failures as much as teething problems, I still believe the design is good it just needed development which is hard when I'm in...

    M20 Dreaming

A little progress, finally finished my headers today. The engine will be next inline to get it assembled and run up on the dyno before it gets put in the car. I have all the parts so going to get the short block done by a notable race engine builder and I will do the top end. I have some photos...

    M20 Dreaming

Andrew came and picked up the body again a week ago and I'm sure he is happy with the end product now. on closer inspection the gelcoat was not a great finish and I have talked with my Glass man as to what we can do to improve it for my body so hoping not to have as much work to prep it for...

McLaren replica build base on a Manta

If Nothing else it completes the car and looks darn good as well. If you want more front down force the wee fences they did on the M8D would be worth a shot as they weren't glassed into the body and you could do them in alloy and screw them on, if they make on difference they are easily removed...

    M20 Dreaming

I now have the body back in my workshop, nothing serious I'm going to prepare it for paint, A little miscommunication, I said it would be finished in 2 pac primer and Andrew asked me to do it in black gel-coat so I took that as meaning just that. He is too busy to prep it so I'm going to finish...

    M20 Dreaming

A long time coming but worth it in the end. I'm happy with the shape and believe it is real close to the real thing and with a block rub and paint very straight which is hard to get on big flat surfaces such as this car has. The man who laid up the body said he was impressed with the finish on...
