I have had many painters work for me and they are all as you say. I blame it on the chemicals they breath and absorb through their skin.
Love the color of your car.
You are correct assuming the "choke" size on the Weber is the same as on the compared throttle body.
These are obviously 48IDA and have 45mm chokes. About as big as you can make work. They are also about as small as you can hope to make power with this size motor.
If you compare these carbs...
Ian and the others are correct that you do NOT need a swirl pot with webers for all the reasons mentioned. Use an inline regulator with no return. I would suggest setting it closer the 3psi. How you draw from the different tanks is another question. I would suggest having a selector valve so you...
I have attached a photo that you can barely see the vertical plastic window that is located in the "sugar scoop" rear deck. You can see the finger prints on the window and the two ventilation holes in it. I would have to assume that this deck was fabricated in an attempt to get better...
That is what it looked like when I got it. Messed up is a mild description. Here is a picture of what it looked like when done. And yes, the bonnet still doesn't fit. Didn't want to change that. I did lengthen the bubble over the carbs so that the velocity stacks didn't have to be cut down...
I did the restoration on the Willment Coupe that is in the Boulder museum. As you can see by the pictures that Tom posted it is somewhat different from the "Shelby" coupes not to mention being right hand drive. I also have a lot of internal pictures of Shelby's personal coupe(can't remember the...
What about a filter like this. You can see all of the carbs and still have more than adequate filtration. Plus, it seals off and has only cold air going to it. Ron McCall took this picture of my car at Road America. Ron are you still on the forum? Enjoyed meeting up with you in Houston at the...
Steve:
Long story.
Here is the short story. My SPF was the first right hand drive car that was delivered to the US and apparently one of if not the first one built. The wiring harness was a left hand drive harness that had been extensively modified to work in the right hand car. That along with...
I second that emotion. I have installed their system in my GT40 and my '72 Pantera. If I have a question Jay normally responds the same day. The product is super high quality. It will be in the '86 R5 next. But, he changed the name for some "unknown" reason. It is no longer called ISIS Power. It...
