You sure can get Nitro cars in the UK! I've got a GT2 Porsche, with the two speed box, maker is RPI.... These things are great fun... Revs to god knows what, and sounds great..... Mine has independent shocks (oil filled) on each corner, 4 wheel drive, and disc brakes.... I reckons it easily...

Here's another thought.... My 5 year old son, Matthew, thinks that the GT40 is the greatest car ever made, and thats because he's seen lots of replicas... (and obviously has good taste!) So... even if they're not originals, they are still part of the legend.... Rgds Neil PS Jim.... he loves...

Jim, I couldn't agree with you more.... A classic car isn't just metal and rubber, to be a true legend it has to have emotion as well.... and the Dan Gurney reference is what its all about for me... However, I also agree with most other comments... we build these cars BECAUSE of the emotional...

For those worried about security, in a previous car, I wired in an ignition switch on the dash, with jsut two positions, on and off, and then wired the starter button as in effect position 3. This way, people can hit the starter button, but nothing happens..... Not hard to do, just run an...

IMHO, Chat Rooms are quite frankly a waste of time unless there are fairly significant numbers of people on line at the same time... and I agree with Lynn.. when I've checked, no more than 3 or 4 people typically.... If people want to chat just to 'chew the fat' then they might like to use IRC...

Seems there's been a resurgence of people recently intent on building their own car/chassis from the ground up. Certainly I seem to be getting a fair load of E-Mails from people... So.. Thought it might be worth just getting a list together.. Just reply to this post with a one line comment...

Brett, I'm actually trying to find out what is 'likely' to be fitted to an existing KVA, rather than source a new adaptor plate... in order to price up some upgrades. I'm thinking of buying a KVA as a 5 year stop gap!... my monocoque project is rapidly turning from a 5 year plan to a 10...

Guys, Any view on what adaptor plates were used on KVA's to mate 302s to R21/30 were they typically one offs, or were they produced by some one (KVA?)....? I guess cars built later will have used the GTD adapator plate....? I'm asking to investigate what starter motor options might...
