I think you just needed the 2287 mounts not the 2257, pretty sure I’m right in saying that the 2287 mounts are shorter and are the standard fit for SGT.

Hi Nick, I have used the small (5-6”) supplied bracket that mounts the the pedal box to support mine. Seems to work just fine with the two springs at the carb end only. I did slit it though to allow cable replacement, Pictures below:

Agreed, AP’s all round in mine and the pedal is solid and the brakes are bloody marvellous once warmed up (did you give them time to warm up?).
