No, that plate is got the door latch to mount to, it should be behind the alloy panel.

    the right braking system

It’s all getting very technical in here this morning, let’s just go with the fact I’m right ;o)

For clarity at least one of us has it correct...

Here are some slightly clearer photos... 295mm disc iirc and certainly do the job, same front and rear.

    Handbrake options

IVA is fairly strict on such things, I’ve fitted these (or certainly very similar model) and they seem to work pretty well, running a 25mm disc iirc... https://www.racing-professionals.de/en/racing-calipers/405-brembo-racing-handbrake-caliper-22588211.html

    Fasteners for plexiglass / laminate

I used M3 I think, I didn’t cut the plexiglass, I used a disc sander to shape it. Remember only use blunt drill bits on the plexiglass or it it will break... Good luck, unfortunately it’s a truly shit job...

    Fasteners for plexiglass / laminate

I’ve just finished mine and used helicoils, drilled tapped and then bonded in with epoxy, worked a great and they are very secure. I’d avoid rivnuts as they deform the fibreglass And you’ll struggle to get the gun into some of the tighter corners etc...

    FORD vsFERRARI

I’m pretty sure it’s the cost of IMAX that makes for empty theatres, between £18.00 and £24.00 around here, stupidly expensive and hardly surprising there are so many empty seats... I’d imagine non IMAX showings draw a bigger crowd?

Thanks for your kind words Jim, I’m pretty chuffed with it myself :D Here is the link for the lights, and even better they are probably one of the cheapest parts on the car... https://www.ricambio.co.uk/side-indicator-repeater-lamp-amber-classic-fiat-500-600 Cheers

500 miles under my belt now and off to see the painter in the morning to finalise the details with a view to going into paint in January. I’m a bit behind schedule with things but most importantly it will be ready for spring next year when I can really start to enjoy it.

Hi Eddy, The seats that are in there now are staying, but the were indeed ok for IVA as they have head rests built in. Regards

Renault Un1-13 throwback through gear shift

Hi Mark, Well it actually turned out to be a failing CV joint and not the gearbox at all, happy days as a much cheaper fix thankfully. Regards
