    GTD Fuel Level Sender

I ended up using a couple of Gauge Wizards from Spiyda.com. My senders were in a resistance range totally reversed for my Stewart Warner gauges but the gauge wizard allowed me to correct for that and to correct for the fact that the tapered GT40 tanks give a non linear reading as they empty. By...

    GTD Fuel Level Sender

Can anyone tell me what the fuel level sender was that GTD used as standard. My tank has the 6 hole pattern for a UK type sender and a 1 1/2" dia hole for the float and internals to fit through. My guess is that GTD raided the parts bin and used something fairly standard at the time such as a...

    Handbrake Cables

I'm not familiar with the southern GT design but I guess the cable sleeves are bolted to the rear bulkhead and the cables protrude in a bit. Could you give me the sleeve length so I can mock it up to see if they will fit my GTD. Looks like one end fit standard Granada rear brakes. Sorry for so...

    Handbrake Cables

Hi Glenn, I'm interested in your handbrake cables for my GTD but 5ft seems a bit tight on length. I have std GTD rear brakes side mounted and 5ft just makes it inside the cockpit using the shortest route. Is the cable length 5ft or the sleeving?

    GTD Lockheed Brake Servo

Thanks for all the replies. I'll look up the part numbers Darrin gave me first as I would prefer to get new servos if possible. Richard

Good advice Bill. I'm quite a way from putting the glass in permanently but I have it resting in place while I'm doing the body panel fits to make sure there won't be a problem fitting the glass after paint. Working upside down in the tub with a flashlight in your teeth can be so much fun ...

Thanks for the tips Howard. This is the only part of the build I have been dreading based on GTD owners comments at shows. I will enlist the help of a few friends to share the fun. Luckily I have a beer fridge in the garage so getting help and relaxing when it gets tough is no problem.:drunk...

That price at Bonhams has definitely changed her attitude towards me spending hours in the garage! There can't be many hobbies that are such a good investment as well. Just got to get it done now.

    New GTD member & builder

Hi, I'm a new member but I've had my unfinished GTD40 for a few years. Shortly after I got the car we moved house so I had to promise that the DIY on the new house would get done before I resumed the build. I have just restarted the build and work is about 70% complete. I'm just at the stage of...
