Andy, great to see progress on what is a MASTER BUILD. I have just done the big downsize and sold the family home, starting out afresh on the other side of town. Not doing any more building as such but have plenty to keep me going in the new house, still got my Formula Junior and the Rambler I...

    WIDE BODIED SEVEN....McCOPY MK6

Hi I am in the process of clearing out my workshop and downsizing, just took 350kg of scrap steel offcuts from under my workbench to the scrappy. Every piece a gem! Boy do we accumulate a lot of crap. All good otherwise. Regards Russell

Well I found my new driving project, a 1967 AMC Rambler American 440 2 door pillarless cruiser in Missouri. I landed it a couple of weeks ago and am mighty pleased at how straight and tidy it is. Whilst it`s only a six, at 3.8 ltr in 1380kg, its no slug. Now to get it complied for New Zealand...

Thanks for that...it fits in perfectly . SEMA in LV 3rd and 4th then Willow Springs. Funny thing is I bought a car on line last month from Missouri so could have driven it across to LA as a road trip if I had known this trip was on. Cheers

Well I have solved all my computer hassles with my Macca! I SOLD IT ! Just did not have my heart in it so I decided to move it on to someone who was up for it. Funnily enough it went to a bloke who 3 years ago was in quite detailed negotiations for me to build one for him. That all fell over...

Well getting ready to throw some final colour on the job, just checking that all bits are accounted for. Made the fuel tank up over the last few days, bit of a `shape` due to accessibility. Managed to score an MX5 5 speed gearbox so the drive train direction is now committed. Was chasing a 2ltr...

Thanks for the comments, my biggest hurdle to change would be dropping the crank pulley to remove 1 tooth off the sensor wheel. Space is confined to say the least.

Well another year has gone by with bugger all progress.. As previously reported the computer ? crapped out on its test drive and COVID Plus life has got in the way. I have not been happy with this MICROTECH computer from day one as it`s very hard to work / program. I am sick of waiting for...

Best self Christmas present ever, been looking at hoists for months now and did not have enough head space 2.8 mtrs to install a normal height hoist. Found this one that easily fits in under 2.4mtrs, lifts clear 1.5 mtrs and nothing on the floor means the Formula Junior on the trailer sits on...

Is the center of a car body ALWAYS the center of the chassis?

The centre of a car is exactly where the designer placed with regards to style, looks and practicalities. To confirm this theory just look and compare and old school Ford Galaxy 500 and a Fiat 500....or a mini. You could damn near put the Fiat in the boot of the galaxy. Another comparison on the...

    M20 Dreaming

Wolfgang, if I can comment on how I did mine with no facilities other than my press. First I drew out some wing foil shapes, band sawed them from ply and then set out finding a sheet metal guy with rollers and patience! Some large dollars later I had the top and bottom sections handed to me...
