I have SPF GT40 MKI P2197 and did 95% of the build by myself. I helped a friend Lynn Miner finish his SPF GT40 and he did the same for me. I'm very lucky and have a 2000 sq/ft shop to work in with a lift, metal fab, machine, and wood shops. I also do a lot of work with computers and micro controllers.
Right out of high school I started a tool and die apprenticeship. After some time Uncle Sam dragged me off for a few years. While with Uncle Sam I got interested in electronics and computers and went to college and became an electrical and mechanical engineer. While in college I worked in a plastic fabrication shop where I got to blow 4ft wide bubbles (hemispheres) out of 2" plexiglass, what fun. I don't however miss the walk in oven where my shoes melted to the floor.
