XPel, 3M, SunTek clear Protective Film

Eric
I am sure this topic has been discussed before, but I am interested to get some opinions on exactly how much of my GT40 I should protect?

The subject is a few of the better brands available, and these days it is common to apply large sections of these films to the areas (or all areas) that suffer the most.

Having owned three SPF Cobras, I know that rock chips on a fiberglass car are a pain in the butt.

I was thinking the lower have of the sides, and I thought I read on here something about the gas caps.

Advice is most welcome!

Eric,

You put two round pieces on the gas cap opening where the cap will contact the paint when flipped open. The under nose is a good spot to protect. My MK II has the upper nose done as well. I will post pictures later. Olthoff can handle this and they know the spots to protect.

Rick, Thanks, pictures would help.

Dennis seemed to shy away from the prospect of applying the protection, and I am fine with that since there are several options and I have three quality houses right here in St. Louis that can do the work.

What about the sides, below the door line?

Here are the fuel filler protectors and also foam fillers you cut and glue to prevent the rear clip returns from filling up with stones and gravel.
