MK2 replica Ken Miles tribute build

Having recently watched and loved Ford versus Ferrari I was visiting Total Headturners in Essex UK and was pleased to see that they have recently completed a MK2 replica ‘Ken Miles Tribute’ car based on a one-off (non Dax) Tojero built chassis. Lovely looking thing, sadly out of my price range. Made me wonder how many more are planned or completed, is anyone aware of any other MK2 replicas celebrating this great racer ?

Hi, I’ve looked at the same.

Either PPG 12854 or PPG 11683, I think...

Arcadian Blue might be too dark...

I’m sure someone else on here knows:)

Arcadian is correct. The red "flashes" were added at LeMans so the paint used was whatever was available and likely not a Ford code.

So to recap...is the arcadian blue a lighter blue than Powder blue then or vice versa?

On my Ford paint chips from '66, PPG12854 is listed as Powder, Arcadian Blue.

Or is the Triumph Powder Blue darker code: BS 20 D 41

Any better paintcodes to differ the two?

Cheers,
Morten

My car is currently being resprayed with paint provided by PPG to the 12854 Arcadian Blue colour. This is very much paler than the gulf blue when you put the two cars side to side.

Hi, would you by any chance have the recipie for PPG12854, nobody seems to have PPG codes here in UK. Its like they dont have a clue in the paintshops when I turn up with PPG codes.
I’m also trying to get PPG 22603 antique bronze poly, but to no avail.

Kind regards

Morton. I will see what I can find out. I know it is PPG paint and was ordered from paint supplier using the PPG code.
