Restarting my SLC project in West Texas

so I used the lug nuts as supports as Larry suggested and tried turning the wheel with the e=stopp engaged .

And the verdict ........ I will call it partial success, it took quite a bit of torque to rotate the wheel , but it is rotatable , so I guess the moral of the story don't bet agains a rocket engineer. Cam was right, however I think the e brake will hold the car on a slight slope but not a steep slope , as long as it passes the inspection I am good to go .

So my son Miguel has been playing with the 3D printer and printed a nice bracket for the fume canister. Very cool stuff . I love 3D printing. Will make working on fiberglass obsolete, or so I hope :)

Placed the inside tub, the driver seat , the spider and the driver door to check on the heater hose and the coolant tanks placement , also I have never checked if the top of the seats would clear the roof and the door , and they did by a hair, literally , I am not sure but I think I have the first fully adjustable seats , meaning they recline and slide, I just want my daughter who is only 5'2" to drive the car once in a while, the bad news is my 15 year old has a long neck and barely fits and he is still growing. The Tillett seats may be needed as a backup if he grows more. For me is an absolutely perfect fit with lots of adjustment options, the cabin is a bit claustrophobic though, but I think visibility is not great due to the cage but decent enough.
Goal is to get all the a/c and heater hoses done in the next couple of days . You all know how that goes, for me takes usually 3-4 days longer due to all the unforeseeable crap that always shows up . But I guess is part of the fun right?

I ordered the wrong fittings for the 5/8 heater hose, got the straight ones instead of the 90 degree . Tried bending by putting a flexible wire inside to prevent kinking but it did not work, it kinked very bad , completely useless now . Back to order the right ones tomorrow. Bummer .
Figured out where all the hoses go. Will start drilling holes tomorrow. and figure out the a/c hose crimping tool. Fun stuff

Very cool Hector: Just a quick question: What vapor canister did you use. It looks OEM and nice and compact. Probably a lot cheaper then the items i've seen aftermarket.

It was a cheap one I found on ebay or amazon, the only down side is that it does not have a mounting bracket or an easy way to mount it , I guess a large enough hose clamp would work, my kid's plastic 3-D design bracket will work since is very light . I just did not want to pay that much money for a cheap piece of plastic , granted I don't know what's inside. And considering that without a vacuum is just a short term solution, based on what everybody says about vapor canisters. A lot of people don't use them at all . Who knows , I just don't like the gas smell in the garage . So if I have to change it every 6 months, a cheap one will do.

Got my ceramic coated exhaust manifold, just beautiful and hopefully much cooler.
Got started with the hosing, started crimping a/c lines. Went past the line all the way as everybody suggested .
Thank you Frank for the tool, Joel for a thousand questions , Cam for more questions . The help around here is pretty awesome .
Keep kicking the ball every day .

Nice progress Hector, one thing to think about. If you put the HCV in the car, then hot water will always be traveling along the side and into the passenger compartment just adding more heat.

A better location is in the engine compartment.
