Fabulous car Rune!
I really like your second design on the exhaust system too... Brilliant use of the Supertrapp megaphone silencers. While it may not be as raucous as some would like, it will make for a more pleasant drive.
I always loved that livery as well...
Great job!!!

First exhaust system can be picked up outside my garage Free . Usless mufflers .
Now the sound is so nice that my wife did not yell at me when I started the engine
The supertrapp is only with the disc due to regisration prosess, to meet the noise. After I remove the disc :)

I was and weight the trailer and after I weight the trailer and car , and the car with low on fuel was 860kg. So it paid to think weight during the entire building prosess. Fuel is estimate 55kg .

If still available, I would love to help you out by picking it up from outside your garage:)

850kg is a lot lighter than I was expecting. My cad model is at 89kg thus far for the chassis. It’s not hard to have a 100kg of fibreglass in these things either. Do you know what your body has been made with? Vinyl ester resin? How many layers of glass? I think my body could be lighter, not sure if it would be as durable.

I used Vinyl ester resin, and it is maximum 2 layers of 450g fiberglass someplace less

I just had the car on the weight with full fueltanks and it was 964kg I'm satisfied with that, but with only 20kw pr 100kg car , I struggle some here and need to put 84 kg lead inn somewhere to be acsepted . I hope to find a way to solve this. Might take the engine out and de-power it to 270 hp to satisfy the authority. The car is running fine now.

Now when the car finaly is road legal, it is time for the perfection time on some parts. During the 13 year of building, I seee some places I want to make things better ( it is invisible for the eyes) I also did a insulation of noise and heat from engine.
For those of you that does not know , this is a Swedish GOX car that I made exact from the drawings , I have just some parts that is bought from suppliers and some engine parts that are to high cost for my wallet. I can from my heart say that it is possible for a amateur to build a car from drawings and get it street legal. But I will not do it again. :) Next project will be a easy one.
Thanks to all of the forum members that have helped me with ideas and knowledge when needed. I will still support the forum with news on my car.

Beside the fact you did an excellent work all along your built and you have done all the necessary very good work to achieve avery nice car ,( For those having followed all your story from start) you are a very lucky man to have had the opportunity to do your chassis using very usefull ( and very nice done ) steel forming tools and also all those fantastic welding machines and several good templates !!!!
This opportunity is not something ( plus the fact to have free access to all drawings) all "amateur" builders .....
This being said ; what is exceptional ( and lot of congratulations for this ) is that you have done a HUDGE amount of work to achieve your own car and all this only thanks to your strong determination and soooooooooooooooo many hours of work ( and so many , I guess ,also to help on the starting of that project to thanks back the fact you where using all those rare tools !!!!)
You can be proud of your result ; you are probablbly the only man in the world to have done from start to end( By alone) a so close to real drawings "continuation car "
Amateurs (unless being on the same situation) will only be able to built "replica" as per tubular chassis

Driving and improving details on your superb built will be for sure an excellent period compared to those 4 years working and finding every single
solution to all various issues ( Including road homologation that was not something easy from what we know on your country!!)

Here are a small update on my now completed and road legal GT40
After some test driving I found that my LeMans ZF was not for road driving. 3.22 was just for LeMans. So I had to do something. After a try with a bad produced crown wheel and pinion(clearence was 2mm between Crown wheel and pinion) witch I had to return to seller, I found via a forum member a set in Germany. 4.5 was this one and never used. Then I go down on top speed, but thats ok for a old guy. So then it was to do this job once more. After reinstall I had to do a adjustment on a unplesant sound from the valves(been there for sometimes). They needed a check and I used 0.35mm to measure valve clearence. But when I found 5mm clearence I understand the sound:eek:. I had to remove alot to open up for access to lifters to see if there was some damage, but it was the pushrod. I belive that the failed one was from production. So I changed all to a better type. After some hrs the car was back in service NOT. I had a small test drive with the new gear and it was escellent for me I was scared how fast it was now 0-100 on next to nothing. When home again I opened to look over the engine and there was OIL outside. Reason for this was very simple, when I put intake manifold back in place I did not used enough sealing compound fore and aft. So then I got some new hrs engine work. Now I hope everything is sorted out, so I can enjoy som driving without hrs of repair. But that is how we can keep our cars always in good shape.:)
