Wiring going in.
A smidgeon to come off the inner dash vents for the eyeballs to get a perfect fit before painting.

We decided today to fit the chrome brolly style handbrake to my car.

It goes in like this one on an original car.

Original 1964 Smiths RVI Tachometers are tough to find.

Here is our new tachometers made out of five NOS Lotus Cortina gen-1 RVI donor units with conversions and custom artwork dials for the boys and myself.
These took ages to get the dial fonts correct but I am happy now.

I have also managed to procure 50 feet of the original 15AWG red / green impulse wire for them.

Hi Otto
Regret that I can't help with this one.
It's been a long time since the man who gave us this retired.

Hi Jimmymac. Thanks for the close-up pictures anyway. I only had some fuzzy pictures like the BW picture above. Looks like it's made with some special tool. I wonder if I could get someone to fabricate it?

Hi Otto,

We made our own louvre tools but obviously this stuff is a lot finer.
There are many kit car products like this on the Bay. The Australian household market also sells a lot of different sun screen material.

Google L7616 aluminium screen for example. I can't verify the dimensions of this particular product but you will get my drift.
