are you planning on doing structural work on the chassis? I believe the C5 corvette gained a significant portion of its rigidity through a large center tunnel tied into bulkheads at the firewall and rear end. The T70 driver compartment tumblehome won't allow you to do that, but it will give lots of space on the outside of the seats you can utilize for structure and crash protection. Also, I assume you'll put the gas tank in the stretch section, as it is well protected there.

Well,
My plan is to fiberglass body/chassis mounts in about 4-places I believe to locate the bodywork correctly. Then pull the nose/tail sections & run it over to a chassis shop I know to have a rollcage installed. Rear-hoop & down braces are the easy part. Problem is going to be windshield area/overhead area to gain strength. This may require bracing just outside drivers seat box areas.

Hi everyone,
Spring is finally here so it’s time to make a difference...
Removing all the old brackets & repairing cut-off damage from the original Falcon F7 layout. This poor thing had bugger-welds all over it needing TLC.
I’ll begin the tub fabrication shortly, main section will be a drop-in piece .090 2024T3 to start.

Neat project! Are you implying that this chassis was once destined to become an F7? Or just a clone of that chassis?

This was prototype #1 chassis for the original F7, 2 were originally built off corvette chassis’s. After that builder began using RCR chassis.
