I really don’t know what happened with these rods - I found the photo on the web.
With the lack of burning on the bearings and rods, along with the lack of collateral damage to the rods from a high RPM blow-up - I think these rods were subject to a hydraulic lock condition.. The rod on the right still has the wrist pin installed, but looks like some damage to the side of the small end...
Well - that’s my $.02 worth...
