I did 2 at the top of the engine towards the trumpets and two on the lower part of the engine for oil leaks really, swirl nozzles so the gas will disperse well, it was a Lifeline Zero system electrically operated not cheap and hope I never use it!!

SCTA requires two nozzles in the cockpit to protect the driver and two in the engine compartment pointed at the headers/oil pan since that's where a fire is most likely to be.

The folks working on my car installed a SPA bottle next to the wiper motor.

Which colour did you go for? ;-)

Sparkiling, that way the bumps will naturally build pressure in the bottle, when released it will go everywhere ;-)

@Shaun Sizen - where did you place your external button for your Lifeline are you worried about some dick pressing it when your not on fire?

Thanks

Didn't bother with one for that reason I think only really a concern if racing, I have my fire button on the dash and I set the control box in the drivers door pocket

It's worth noting that the purpose of these systems is to provide enough time for the driver to exit the vehicle, most do not hold sufficient suppressant to fully extinguish a fire. I found that out first hand recently with an IDA carb fire on a race Pantera.
