    Michael's GT-R Build

Paul, Exactly what "intake woes" are you expecting? I have fitted a 2015 Coyote with a CJ intake on a GT-R with stock Superlite engine position as well as an Aluminator 5.2XS ( CJ intake as well) 3" lower and nearly 1" forward with no intake issues to speak of. Ron

    GT-R #14

Front brake cooling ducts. Not sure weather or not it will stay like this or move to a more conventional setup. I think it looks pretty cool though. Thanks for the compliments. Ron

    GT-R #14

Had the GT-R at VIR for Hyperfest this weekend. I had a few teething issues but by Sunday most of the were ironed out ( Thanks again H !) and the car was starting to get fast. I had a 2:03 lap on Sunday and I feel like there is another few seconds in the car in it's current; configuration.

    SLC Hubs/ race worthy

I used the Dulaney adapters on the front ( which are gorgeous BTW) . Jim forwarded me the C7 part # to use with them. I ordered them and they ended up being C7 front bearings ( no center, splined hole) . They fit the adapters perfectly. I had to clearance the upright much less than Howard did...

Thanks for the clarification Ken. Howard /Paul , what did you end up doing about your CV axle length? Ron

    SLC Hubs/ race worthy

Ken, Please do. I am curious, if you were to bolt up the C7 bearing without your shim ( I'm well aware that the wheel flange would be .190" closer to the hub carrier) would the Driveshaft Shop 33 spline stub axle clear without machining the inside of the carrier? And BTW, the GT-R uses the...

    SLC Hubs/ race worthy

Ken, I was not asking because I was considering these for my car. My intent ( as was Howard's in starting this thread) was to explore all options so that all of the information is in one single thread. This may very well be an option for a street car that will never see slicks. I have a feeling...

    SLC Hubs/ race worthy

Any idea what the bolt pattern is on these? If it is the same as the C4 pattern, they are 1.9" thick and the C4 bearing is 2.160"-2.165" then a .260-.265" shim would put them in the same location . And they come in 27 spline so you could reuse the stub axle and the CV axle would stay the same...

Anyone spoken with Pacific Customs about these bearings?? I see their shafts mentioned but not their bearings. https://www.pacificcustoms.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=PC&Product_Code=ac501430-33&Category_Code=adapter-stub-axles Ron

    SLC Hubs/ race worthy

Ken, Thanks for the reply. I am not looking for the cheapest upgrade. I am looking for the simplest upgrade that will provide the desired results. I am scheduled to participate in the UTCC next month at VIR and after spending two years building this car, I don't want to tear it down and let...

    SLC Hubs/ race worthy

What (dimensionally) is the difference between the front and rear wheel bearing assemblies? I know that the stock fronts are not drilled and splined but are solid but I noticed that the Detroit Speed front bearing assy has splined holes through the center like the stock rear hub. I wonder if...
