Paul's build thread. (9 months away)

If you are going to paint the car, I suggest doing all the bodywork first. Most people do it last, but it can make a huge mess, then all the dust gets inside your wiring, plumbing, engine, etc. you can set all your gaps and block the body before you install that stuff, then remove the panels and...

    Fat Larry's GTR Build

I think instead of black paint, you should skin the sections with black carbon fiber. All of the black would be a high gloss CF :)

Bob Do you have a PN on the Delphi? I've ordered two already and both were too big. Thanks

The PCM has two ports, which is what I expected. Now I have to look into whether we can run using only one port, since you only seem to have one plug at the moment, or if we have to track down the other half of the harness.

Thanks for the link Ken. I was able to get the wiring diagrams for the Gen2 and Gen1 EB motors. I'm making a pin-out table in Excel now to help make the comparison easier.

I have them. I'm more concerned with finding a wiring diagram for the 2017 fuel injectors. I've had no luck so far.

All of my experience is on the software side. I've had no opportunity to wrench or wire on one.

Everything except the injectors should be the same as Gen1, dowload the manual for the stand alone control pack and use it as a guide.

Did you get a factory ECU and harness with yours? My new truck has a gen2 3.5 EB and I’ve been playing with the tune on it, and although I have no need to test, it looks fairly easy to disable PATS and other un-needed functions.

    GT40 For Weekend Cruiser

That’s pretty nifty with the suction cups. I was thinking about some felt covered rare earth magnets, but I need to do some shear testing with them.

    GT40 For Weekend Cruiser

As my first post stated, I have considered that heavily but there are a few things making me want to look at other options. High probability I will wind up there anyway, but trying to do my due diligence.

    GT40 For Weekend Cruiser

Current thought is a hidden hitch receiver that would take a cargo shelf. If I can’t work that into the frame then a removable roof rack.

I have a plan for luggage that would apply to any car like this I would build.

    GT40 For Weekend Cruiser

How viable is the GT-40 as a weekend cruiser? It seems most builds are geared towards historical accuracy and/or track use. I have no desire to track a car or build a historically accurate one. I just love the look the GT40 and want a really awesome car for weekends, cruise ins etc. My main...

If you don't raise the splitter then then you can't drop the front where it belongs and the rake is wrong from front to back, looks funky.

RCR GT40 or SLC in Georgia?

I hope the website is still under construction and those prices are just place holders. $75 for every single 6-pin they offer?!?

    CamT's build thread

When unmasking after dipping, I keep some glossifier in a “prevail” sprayer handy. If you find a tape line that is starting to dry, lay a little extra clear on it and pull while wet.
