The LS9 is an attractive option for $19k. It's very tough to replicate the performance potential, reliability, and drivability in an aftermarket setup. Whenever you are calculating the costs to meet or exceed an LS9 you need to add a good % to cover research, unknown incidental items...

This echoes my experience and research on the Vortex cones. It's also why I was scared to try the Hushpower mufflers on my 468ci LS. The Hushpower's are by far the quietest performance muffler I've heard. They sound awesome too. The cool can feature is a nice plus and a need in our cars...

Ditto. I speak from experience building 3 pairs of SLC headers with the car either an hour or 3 hours away. I've screwed myself every time before they were finished. You're much further away...stay safe.
