    HSR Daytona

Jim&Pat, Sorry I missed you guys! I did make it there sunday morning around 11:30. By that time I only saw a mk1 and mk2 in the pits. I also passed a mk1 in the tunnel (silver w/yellow stripe) missing a chunk out of the left side rear clip. I'm sure there is a story there! ;o) There were so...

    Front Clip Mounting

Randy, Getting the clip off and on is easy with the bobbins. Throw blanket down in front of car, unlatch, and slide off on end. I had the tilt set-up and wouldn't put it back on. S

    Jason's Coyote Powered RCR40 Downunder

Jason, Nice job sir!! As the rear clip gets heavier, you will notice that the stock mounting system flexes a LOT. Since you are going all-out on your build, you may want to take a good look at the front and rear sub-frames Tom made for his track racer. After having that clip on and off several...

    Bob's DRB Build #112

Bob, The reason they are usually installed (door pulls) at the bottom of the door is because they are easiest to reach there. (and if you were strapped in tight, you could shove out with your elbow while pulling the handle if something were to go wrong) Just what I have seen/heard, Scott

    RCR GT40 ground clearance

Jason, 4-5 inches f-r is the norm. At that ride height you have noticed the upward angle of the front lower a-arms. I solved that by using "Howe" lower ball joints that use a 1" longer stud. If you post this question directly to Fran on his forum I'm sure he will reply. Scott

    Superformance GT40 Roller Prices?

No problem here Robert. I have only seen your pics of the superformance wide-body rear clip. Thanks for posting the link and explaining what was done to achieve the look. Scott

    Superformance GT40 Roller Prices?

Robert, The white car pictured in your link is most definately NOT a gulf-modified RCR clip. It may have some plus 2" flares on it, but definitely not gulf-ed out. My avatar shows what a "gulfed" RCR clip looks like. Very similar to the one you posted in the link. Adding the flares to the...

    KVA Project

Tony, Congrats on the start! The KVA has a very original body, and the suspension is easily modified. You are correct that it is an early chassis, and NOT the c-type. You are lucky in that there're a couple of current manufacturers in the UK, so sorting/upgrading the suspension shouldn't be too...

Tony, Did you sell the headers yet? Are they cross-over or just 4-into-one? Thanks, S

Spacer inside the rotor hat .

That type of spacer is is ok. (Most would probably suggest that you machine or buy new rotor hats with the correct offset) Some sanctioning bodies do not let you race with any spacers at tech. The key with that type of spacer is that it should be less than .500 thick from what I have read/seen...

    Theother hobby

Brett, IF you stay far enuff out ahead you won't get run over!!! ;o) (back when I was racing we still shifted on the down tube, and "cramp-and-go-slow" were tops in the gruppos) ;o) If I recall correctly at the end, aluminum frames were just starting to come on the scene....... I trialed...

    Theother hobby

Brett, Are you road racing or criteriums?? I raced juniors many years ago and then senior 1s and 2s. Bike looks too nice to be a trainer!! ;o) (you will save yourself a LOT of cash and build stronger legs/lungs if you just throw 25lbs in a fannypack!!) ;o) Nice toy, S

    Ford : Ford GT MK1 Frame Off Built GT40 MK1 Roush 427/560 HP V8 5 Speed

Looks that way Mike. Has the right motor/tranny combo too. One would think for a few thousand they would have put the right tires/wheels on it for 150k. Certainly leaves room to bargain, and an easy fix for the new owner, S

    GT40 Mk1 body alignment procedure

Bill, There are many threads in the builders section with that info. I would suggest "Toms RCR 40 Trackracer." He took a lot of time and measurements to line things up with a lot of good pictures. Have fun, Scott
