    So disappointed

Wonder how easy it is to cut out the back section and weld in a new one? Guess we'll find out.

    How to vent LS3?

No - somehow after 5 years of no problems my tune went "bad" and basically started pouring fuel at idle, which was then washing the cylinder walls and causing the smoke. How a tune works fine for 5yrs and then goes bad I dunno; if I hadn't seen it I wouldn't have believed it. But the catch...

    Mason’s Build: Superlite SLC

I've seen (or at least I think I've seen) several cars with a very wide center spline. Not sure why either.

    Dan's Build

GM keeps changing part numbers on the engine controller and crate engines - the last one I bought was superceded above the prior one - not sure why the effort on their part to do it Hope it works out; I know how painful it is to chase gremlins and hope like hell the solution of replace...

    LS3 ETC WIRE EXTENSION

CPW (Current Performance Wiring) made mine. It was nicely done, although when tuning it with the Holley dominator it did have some trouble registering it. I've never been convinced it's a good idea to extend the wiring - unless you stuck the fuse box at the very rear of the car, there should...

    C8 Corvette Transaxle

Bah, be a manly man and stick a built 930 transaxle in there. Bestest transaxle ever. Weighs next to nothing, can be built to handle infinite torque and you don't really need more than 4 gears anyways.

    Dreaded P0606 Code

Yes, that's the stock throttle map table. If you want you can send me your tune - I don't have the stock tune either but I remember enough to know what tables have been changed

    Dreaded P0606 Code

FWIW, if you have hp tuners your throttle area A map (engine->air flow -> electronic throttle -> Map A) should look liek the below - all the gmpp tunes i've seen are always the same .... note the warning at the bottom of the screen - i.e., if you adjust this you can brick the PCM The area rate...

    Stephan's SLC Build Log

I don't doubt it can work for certain applications, but it isn't about throwing money at it - I spent ~$10k on it before I gave up - or skill - I went through 3 tuners - it's about compromises. Each tuner ended up at the same point - having to pull all timing from the car just to get it to run...

    Dreaded P0606 Code

DBW issues are another code I believe ... if your tuner adjusted the throttle table there's a chance the PCM can randomly brick itself when driving If it's an internal fault in the PCM it's easy to change - upload tune to laptop, remove old PCM, put in new PCM (make sure it's the same model...

    Stephan's SLC Build Log

Welcome to the ITB club. Happiest day of my life was when I bought ITBs for my 917 and was like 'FVCK YEA!' when I unboxed them and put them on the car Next happiest day of my life was when I threw those motherfvckers into the garabge - after 4 days on the dyno and nothing but issues I said...

    Anyone got $420k laying around?

    Fuel pump preference

I'm sure the risk of fail/fire is almost zero, but I don't want to be the one. The only reason I used fuel rails was for peace of mind for that 0.0001% event.
