    SLC Bump Steer Spacers

Thanks Howard. I already have a string set up and a straight edge for under the car to square the set up. I purchased a digital angle meter that is very helpful. I was able to at least get the basic alignment close. I’ll spend this weekend fine tuning it. (At least when I’m not watching the...

    SLC Bump Steer Spacers

Thanks Howard. I will check it this way. My question is about what size upper and lower spacers did you end up with. I am puzzled at the way the car was shipped with seemingly custom made spacers that when the rear tie rod was compared to the lower control arm angle was way off. Does the about...

    SLC Bump Steer Spacers

I recently aligned my car including successfully setting the frt bump steer. Using a 1 inch steel spacer as I have read in some posts got me within .05 of a degree in the frt. The rear is a different story. My car does have the the double shear set up. The car came with a longer lower spacer and...

That is correct. The ball should never move or rotate. Google grade 8 bolts torques and get a chart to properly torque to spec.

Need some help calculating serpentine belt length

Sometimes I've seen quite a bit of bounce at the tensioner from the combined out of roundness of the driven pulleys ( there are no perfect circles or straight lines in the universe, but we come damn close). Other engines I've witnessed had virtually no tensioner ocillation ( almost perfect...

Kurt H (hoffkm) SL-C build thread

Welcome to the SLC family. One thing you may want to take into consideration is I was advised by Fran not to go over 500 hp with the G96-01 transaxle. I have one behind an LS 3 376/480.

I am also using those mufflers , but I have them coming out the sides. I'm pleasantly surprised that they aren't excessively loud in that configuration. Apparently the cases are insulated and they don't get as hot as you would think.

Looks Fantastic! The surface leveling looks much better than the green. I also wanted to have my roof black. Im curious to see how it all looks together.

    Looking for Advice/Opinions/Input

The best way for you to get a better idea would be to read as many of the build threads on this site that you can. Then you can pick and choose what you like. Then give the particulars to a builder that would charge you accordingly.

Failure to establish communication with Chev Perf LS376/480 ECU

Tried two different scanners that I know work. Before I disassemble the Ecu connector I just wanted to check the present configuration. I understand the Ecu communication is through pin 58 on the blue Ecu plug.
