    Fuel tank location

Well, KVA build his first replica for Ford, end of 1982. The one with a XR3 CVH engine. Production of the "A" type chassis did not start before 1984/85 and the "C" type chassis did come much later. So your registration date is like many............ doubtfull.. My KVA "B" type chassis has a 1981...

    Side window reflectors

Handy at the toll gate on Route du Soleil.. Well as GT40 never where ment to be waterproof...it sure looks good and for sure more suited for the claustrofobic drivers as a GT doesn't have truely opening windows.. By luck it never rains in Holland & Belgium especialy never on Spa... So next...

Ignition timingtable that uses TPS not MAP

Can't you make a provision in one runner to take a 1/8 npt barb fitting to hook up a MAP sensor as with TPS is used to questimate the load on the engine and hooking up an universal map sensor (these are dirt cheap) it makes things much easyer to set up and create way more drivebilety. X%tps...

Ignition timingtable that uses TPS not MAP

My guess, that would be linear based on rpm. 38 degree total at 4000rpm starting from 1200 rpm. So if you run 12 degree at idle (0-1190rpm) then ad 26 degree linear to 4000 rpm. Cant do that fully tps as tps has no load calcalculations (hence map or maf). Ill guess you'r not having any stepper...

    Fuel pump discussion.

Does anyone have any information about the Stewart Warner 240-A to complete the list. GPH Free flow, GPH at max pressure, GPH at the pressure setting they where running? And did all GT40's had the 240-A as in mk1 289 Quad Webers, mk2 427 single Holley & dual Holley and mk IV ? I know the BHP...

    Roll Cage question .......

Well, I had a nice chat with Mick at Southern GT two years ago and he showed us the remains of a red GT40 (GTD) that crashed hard at Spa Francorchamps, september 2017 (by coincidense, we saw that crash). He was at the point to start the rebuild of that GT. Nothing major drama with that chassis...

    Fuel pump discussion.

Ian, your Facet is running free flow @ zero pressure (40GPH) to fill that swirl pot only so its not marginal. Your Bosch 044 returns back into that swirl pot to so you'r save. That Bosch 044 specs at 80GPH @ 72,5 psi.

    Fuel pump discussion.

Does not comply, its a general fuel pump topic to compare models, types etc on GPH, durability and so on. For your interrest, a Facet Red Top (40 GPH free flow) (thats about 25 GPH @ 4 psi) couldn't keep up with the demand on my tripple 40's 3.0 V6 gp2 Ford Capri. With demand I mean a steady...

    Fuel pump discussion.

Facet Duralift is an interesting choice. Is commonly used on stationary industrial diesel engines like my Carrier unit that sits on top of my trailer. Facet rates it on their website between 33 / 55 GPH depending on which model which is not much. They all have 1/8 NPT pipe connections which...

Facet Red Top flows 40 Us Gph free flow Facet Blue top flows 45 Us Gph free flow ( differs by intern gauze filter from the Red Top). Holley Red flows 97 Us Gph free flow - 67 Us Gph @ 5psi Carter P4600HP flows 100 Us Gph free flow. In my experiance the hotter the pump gets, the less flow...

Which one works.. As we had a discussion in somebody elses buildtopic and where getting real off topic there, Ill just start a new thread. In my experaince, Facet is crab. They wont deliver enough under pressure creating lean situations especialy under hot situations. Had 5 failures in 7 years...

I can only ad, I had a lot of failures not coping with the fuel demand needed after a long journey in 3 of my cars. All Facet red top & blue top (same pump differend filter) all pushing through a 85MM Filterking All situated at fuel level. New out of the box the'll work fine for a year after...

    Southern GT #48

They are, 40gph @ freeflow... zero pressure At 6 psi just about 25gph and when they warm up close to 15gph.. My tripple 40's where starving on a hot day after a few hours drive. My other V8 (3.5 RV8) also starved in the same circumstances. Took me years to figur it out. Better of with a Holley...

Which engine for my MK IV project?

US army had F250's before the Dodges W200 stationed in Germany. They all got sold to the public. I had a 76 and a 77 W200 and now own a 73 F250 with service history. Those Ford trucks came with 360FE. Loads have been swapped for bigger engines. Germany had and still has a big US car community...

    GTD Restore rear brakes

Calliper is Sierra, Scorpio (Granada in the UK) and Escort Cosworth. The bigger engines with diskbrakes on the rear. Its a very common upgrade calliper on classic Fords with a reardrum to disk swap as this calliper has a mechanical handbrake so lots of parts available.
