    Dan's Build

It was a great car show to support our community first responders. The car won best in show honors. Actually met two people who actually knew what it was. It was a Ferrari, Bugatti, McClaren, Lamborghini. Hot day but fun to get out for a change. Thanks Cam.

    CamT's build thread

Gents. I installed my ll Much in 2017 and it’s still on the job. Never have any gas smell. The reason for the recall as I understand it was several consumers who installed it improperly, but when the law gets involved things happen.

Kurt. I had a similar problem with both my corvette and SLC when I loaded them into my trailer. I built drive up ramps front to back in the trailer about 5 inches tall so I could reach under either car and strap them down. Works out perfect. Just an idea.

Cody Are you using the Infinity Box electrical system?

    Fuel pump issue

Mark. I didn’t use the RCR solution, but does it use two pumps? One to fill the pot and the other to supply the engine? On my system I have two pumps and purchased a pump regulator so the pumps only worked at 100% when needed (controls heat). I also added a return line in case the lift pump...

    Vintage air trinary switch wiring

Hector See if this diagram helps more than the one I posted. I assume you are talking about the Vintage Air System. I hear they changed the design again. Since I'm using an LS engine, we have to keep the water constantly flowing on the heater line back to the engine. I used the "Chevs of the...

Cadillac Alternator Jumper Wire? - Need Electrical Insight

OK folks the word from GM: FYI Configuration - engine harness 19166573 and ECU 19258267 for a LS3/480 and are using alternator 84009383 (Cadillac CTS V, 2 pin with 4 pin connector slot). Instruction sheet 19171935 does not address connecting the alternator. Asked GM to confirm: The single...

Cadillac Alternator Jumper Wire? - Need Electrical Insight

Thanks. I took a look at it. What I'm not certain about without stripping the wire looms, is if GM built in the resistors into the harness and if it requires a jumper line as shown on numerous diagrams. I sent these questions to GM. Waiting to see what they say. Thanks

Cadillac Alternator Jumper Wire? - Need Electrical Insight

Johna/Kurt good input. I'm going to call GM Performance and find out what type signal is coming from their harness (I think its their pre-wire in the harness). Hopefully they did all the resistor and what not to make the connection a plug and play.

Cadillac Alternator Jumper Wire? - Need Electrical Insight

Here are my test results: 1. Alternator is actually a two pin. I did not take the loom apart, but the single wire from the 4 pin connector is on the on the I or L (cant get a good angle to read it clearly) pin of the alternator. What I don't recall and didn't record is the source of that wire...

Cadillac Alternator Jumper Wire? - Need Electrical Insight

I'm using the 2004-2007 Cadillac alternator 150AMP (GM 84009383). I'm having an issue (electrical is not my strength), but the volt meter in the cockpit will at time show a strong 14 volts then fall to about 12.5 volts and then migrate back up to about 13.5 or so (as best I can read the volt...

Kurt H (hoffkm) SL-C build thread

My test wasn’t scientific, but I used my hand and some flow strips on the exit port next to the spider to witness the amount of air moving between the stock and Mishi fans. The difference visually and by feel was significant. The proof is no more overheats. Good hunting.

Kurt Don't see that you resolved the fan choices. I went with the Mishi. See Dan's Build 364-366. They work great. A bit noisy, but I only hear the engine anyway. They push a ton of air. Temp in GA stays around 200 with Air on. I like the low AMP draw.

    Nose hinge

i remember that Bob. Offered my first born to get a set. Any idea what changes need to be made? Seems like a solid design. Getting tired of lifting the nose off to gain access.

    Registration in Fl.

I’m in GA. I had to use companies that provide insurance based on desired value. I had to provide proof of value via receipts. The SLC is not typically a known commodity by the insurance industry so my standard company went tilt when I asked. Sounds like you already know this. Long story...

Kurt H (hoffkm) SL-C build thread

Kurt On my street tail I have fender liners to cover the entire well. The lower tail below the tranny is a collection point for street sand and street rocks. Since your building your own, you may want to take a look at that future problem.
