If you want to get the OEM Audi shifter mounted as narrow as possible then you could trim the mounting ears as shown in the picture (drawn in ink). The width would be 5 1/8". Side mounts could be fabricated to hard mount the shifter assembly to the center spine.

For width mine is 5 7/8". The RCR shifter comes in at 4 1/2".

Here is a picture of the mounting height. That's about as low as you can go (6") and still push the handle down and over for reverse. The height to the top of the gate on the RCR shifter is reportedly about 5 3/4".

I finished modifying the OEM Audi R8 shifter. I wanted to keep the rubber isolation feature and also make it as low as possible. The 4 posts can be welded to the center hump of the tub. The OEM transaxle cable mount is also rubber isolated.

They will be similar to Bobs. More than likely custom sized. One in each rear side vent. The GT-R side vents will pull more air due to their scoop shape. They will have a fairly small footprint so making them thicker will be important. The thicker the core the stronger the fan needed.

I plan to use a transaxle cooler but it's good to have a back up hose in case of failure of the cooler or hoses at some point. I made up a Aeroquip 8AN teflon lined hose and a M16x1.5 banjo fitting on one side and a straight 8AN M16x1.5 fitting on the other end. Does anybody know the flow direction?

I made a blank off cover/plug for the removed forward drive shaft. I wanted to make a plug so that it would protect the machined bore for the removed bearing. Just in case the forward output shaft was ever reinstalled.

I also bought a cooling fan assembly from a 2017 Chevrolet Volt. It uses Spal DC brushless fans as well. I'm going to chop it up and hopefully get it to fit The SLC. I just didn't care for the look of the large 17" C6 Corvette fan I was using. It took up too much real estate. My SLC is using a...

I bought a couple of 10" Spal DC brushless fans for the heat exchangers. The intercoolers will be small but thick so strong fans will be needed. These are pwm controlled fans (meaning they vary the speed based on the coolant temp). I was watching a YouTube video on the Koenisegg Jesko and...

Getting trans plate to align with rear engine mounts

The shifter bracket on the Ricardo transaxles were not supplied by Fran. The OEM brackets were used. Scott bought his transaxle from Europe. It didn't come with one installed I assume. I had to trim mine at the top to get it to fit under the cross brace as shown in the picture. I even re...

    Heater control valve

Most use this one. https://www.oldairproducts.com/product/50-1555-heater-valve-kit I use a OEM vacuum operated valve and a bleed down vacuum switch (for EGR) with a toggle switch. They can be sourced from many places and different suppliers. Only difference is mine is either open or closed...

I added a oil temperature sender to the dry sump tank for the GT-R. The sender used on C6 and C7 dry sump Corvettes is AC Delco #213-4333 (GM#12608814). This sender is the most common size found on current GM vehicles. It is used for the coolant temperature as well on LS engines. It uses a...

    Front engine mount modification

I would cut the engine mounts off, clean up the square tubing where the welds were, then cut the square tubing in the middle and slide (inside) a smaller section of square tubing. The 1/4" gap will be taken up by welding. You are just left with building new engine mount tubes. Similar to what...

Installing RCR flywheel with factory GM Bolts
