    Heater Coolant Plumbing...

Bumping this thread since i am about to plan the plumbing of heater hoses/pipes. I want to make sure the circuit actually works, but i don't want another pump to force it. What is my best bet then? (I run a electrical main circulation pump and no thermostat) Should i weld in an angled connector...

    Lucas toggle switch mom/off/mom?

All relays are bought with internal diodes to quench that spike. I know my electronics, so no problems there, just wasn't able to find a suitable switch for the last function needed for my instrument panel.

    Lucas toggle switch mom/off/mom?

The amps isn't important in my case. All switches are either low current signals or triggers relays.

Electric gauge, smith instruments vs MSD 5520

Hi, I might have a problem on hand here, i asked smith how to drive their GT40 spec tacho gauge, and the answer seems to be that MSD 5520 make to large of a signal voltage and it just swamps the gauge and it drops down to zero instead. Since this seems to be a theoretical problem so far (since i...

    Trinary switch wiring?

I bought an std aircon kit from carbuilder.com. But the wiring, is it actually as described on the homepage? https://www.carbuilder.com/uk/trinary-switch-for-air-con Because the industry standard seems to be that the blue wires switches the compressor on, and not the condensor fans... Can...

Does anyone know who the user Ian Cowan is on this forum? I need to come in contact with him to ask some questions related to wiring diagrams i have snatched up.

    Wiring diagram, any standards?

I managed to get a hold of what i was looking for. Now i am wondering what lucas switches are "standard" for a gt40 replica, what partnumbers should i look to use?

    Wiring diagram, any standards?

Hi, I am about to start planning the wiring loom for the car excluding the engine wiring that will be a separate loom directly from the engine management system. Any standard looms documented that i could use as a starting point and modify to get a complete picture? (Looms for gt40 replicas that is)

I am interested. Where are you, and does the intake have provisions for a Good MAP sensor spot?

    Sound deadening or not?

Thanks all for the great replies. I have decided to implement Dynamat superlite in one layer around the cockpit, and then a thin isolatating foam mat for the tunnel, rear bulkhead, and front bulkhead. I will probably be using the golden heatshield you linked in there Howard, seems appropriate in...

    Sound deadening or not?

I have modified the bonnet to accept full depth of the radiator shroud, so all of the hot air will go out above the bonnet. Sure heat will still radiate from the aluminium sheets etc. So maybe some form of insulation is needed towards the front too.

    Sound deadening or not?

Btw. would the 48sq ft pack cover the cabin?

    Sound deadening or not?

good replies. I think i'll get atleast dynamat superlite one layer surrounding the cabin, then isolation to the firewall for heattransfer. Pipes in tunnel will be isolated with advanced material already, so not expecting much of a heattransfer from there.

    Sound deadening or not?

Hi, i am at the stage where i have started the paneling of the chassis. What are the experience from the people out there that have finished builds, does deadening the cockpit do any good, or is it wasted weight since the engine will be so loud anyway? Will coat the wheelarches with rubber on...
