NASCAR had been using only 15” wheels for many decades and were braking cars that weighed 3500+# from over 200mph. I’m with you David.
Now that said - 15” tire selection has been substantially reduced. Now it would seem that you need 17”+ in order to get the sizes you need/want. Within...
Sorry Jac, I am pretty sure there are two that go all the way through from the water pump and front cover and there is water on the other side. I’ve got two such blocks. Both of them E7 blocks (Mustang HO) that are like this. Neither block was modified other than having cylinders bored.

I’ll have to ponder this for a while, but at first blush, I don’t see a problem with blocking it off as long as you have a bleeder valve. The real beauty of the return system is that you always have a cooler charge of fluid in the slave and it is self bleeding as it recirculates fluid.
We had purchased DPI Brake Fluid Recirculators back in the late 90’s and the SCCA Tech inspectors (of which I became one) would not allow them in competition. They’d been used at that point for maybe 5 years in NASCAR on short-track cars. I think I probably still have a set.
Congratulations! I still need to get over there to Tucson to visit you someday. Maybe this winter I can make that work as I want to get back to Pima Museum again as well..
Don - best bet is to start another thread with the appropriate subject and what it is that you’re searching for. Also, search for Bill Hough as I believe he makes these still. [email protected] is the last email addy I have for him.
It’s interesting…. Taxes are levied on both Federal and State levels. I’m not aware of any local taxes levied on fuels.
The charts and info below are from 2016 - so may not be current info..

Cool video!
Do yourself a favor. Before you put it in gear and let the clutch out, make sure your harness is super snug and give a couple of tugs on that removeable steering wheel…. Mine popped loose once as I pulled out on the race track. Just happy that it happened before the green flag was...
Nice looking starter Sean! I wish that option would’ve been available when I built my car. Unfortunately, no one gave a heads up that the Factory Porsche starter would not work! I still have a very low mileage 1989 Porsche C4 starter in one of my spare parts bins. It was not cheap to buy as I...
Welcome Dominick!
You may want to contact RCR in Michigan. They offer options for “gentleman” seating as well as a replica of the early 2000’s Ford GT which offers considerably more interior room.
Let’s not get into politics or political blames please.
This is actually a very important subject that affects us all - almost to the degree that Covid has and continues…
