    Impractical or a potential?

The new Corvette transaxles look to be pretty sturdy and the DCT will shift very quickly. Possible to get one to work outside of a vette though...that I don't know. Thoughts?

SOLD - Partial (about 85-90%) build for sale ***SOLD***

I'll post more photos later. Mostly of the engine bay as I want to polish the stainless exhaust a bit. Also of some of the parts you do not see (the other door, the other seat, the rear spoiler, etc.). Location is Frisco, TX USA. Anyway, there comes a time when you have to be honest with...

    Any interest in Coyote/Boss exhaust?

Had to rework my header setup due to a clearance issue. I had them welded up at my machinist's and he was wondering if it would be worth it to keep the dimensions of the whole setup so it could be reproduced for others given that the only option I can think of is the one from Tornado, and it's a...

What would you do? Door mechanism

I am trying to connect the latch to the catch. The latch hinge sits above, to the left, and slightly rearward of the mechanism's swing arm upper attachment point. I've tried simply bending a threaded steel rod, and although it comes close, it doesn't quite work right. I'm thinking a more...

Going to make an X-pipe exhaust

Well there isn't a whole lot of room from the end of my headers to the back of the car (about 18 inches or so to play with) so I was planning to go with an H pipe connecting around the end of my collectors. The thing is I know that an H-pipe just isn't as efficient as an X-pipe and that was...

    Radiator fill and overflow

I have an RCR radiator. Just one inlet/one outlet on them (nice looking radiator BTW). So, I need a way to fill the thing and am wondering what most here have done. Do you just mount some sort of filler port back in the engine area that fills into an overflow area that in turn feeds into where...

    Spacing issue...transaxle install

I have my transaxle about ready to bolt up to the adapter plate and in turn the engine but am concerned about the spacing of the spigot bearing in that I think it could work its way far enough toward the transaxle as to float free on the spigot. From the way I see it, the maximum distance the...

    Safety of fuel filler area.

Taliking about the hose connecting the gas cap to the tank. On my setup, I have a romote keyless entry that due to space concerns is going on the passenger side in that area along with a small fuse box. I started thinking about electrical fires and the potential for catastrophic failure in...

Oil cooler size, location, and active or passive.

Just about to pull the trigger on getting an oil cooler but thought I'd get some input from the group first. Looks like the only place I have room for it will be in the engine compartment just in front of the rear tire on on the passenger side upper ledge. This area so far in unaccounted for...

    DOT approved harnesses..only Schroth?

From everything I can find, only Schroth makes street legal 3 point harnesses. Anyone found another? Good bit of money for them so if there is a good option I'll look into it otherwise it's about $400 for a set!

News on the new Shelby / 5.2 Flat Plane Ford V8

Not sure is this is where it belongs or not but given the engine in this thing will probably find its way into a GT40 replica or two I thought it was relevant. I called up Ford Motorsport to ask them about engine dimensions but they said that they don't have the final information yet. The bolt...

    RFID keyless entry and start.

Anyone gone this route? I'd like to but want to make sure I get a decent unit. So far I'm not finding much that I would trust based on the reviews.

    Header selection

While searching for headers I ran into a great site and thought I'd pass it along. GrumpysPerformance.com • View topic - calculating header design For those who don't want to read it all or just want it boiled down to a result, there is a calculator that will tell you primary size...

Insulation for your tunnel and more

They only sell this stuff by the box so I had to purchase 100 square feet of the 8#, 1/2" thick 24"x 50' of this stuff: Ceramic Fiber Blanket - DS Industries Supplies It's darn good for the tunnel, insulating the fire wall, etc. as the stuff is good to some 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. It took...

    Condenser location

My local rod shop is really pushing me to put the condenser in front of the radiator. Says when done right it doesn't affect air flow to the radiator much and that if I don't, with this TX heat, I will really hurt the AC performance. Any others place theirs up front like that?

One speed, two speed, or multi-speed wipers?

It's about time to add wipers. Curious to know if most have one, two, or variable speed wipers on their cars.

    The dash

Well I'm about to the point where I need to tackle the dash. Mine has two slightly recessed areas. One is about 17 5/8" long, and the other about 5 3/8" long. They are where you typically see the toggle buttons. Do most people just cover these in an extra layer of leather (like the first...

Looking for this (rear clam shell part)

Mine is solid and I want it ported. Somewhere I ran across inserts sold for this but cannot find the link now. Anyone know of anyone that sells an insert to form the inlet for the rear clam shell in the area pictured?
