wellllll. i would like the car more if i could drive it for more than 5 miled without a problem! having difficulty with the transaxle adaptor, and a transaxle leak, shifter issues and a coolant leak from the intake manifold! lots more sorting than i was led to believe! the car is beautiful but...

i have a little problem, my bellhousing(unknown origin)is not fitting properly, the entire transaxle is offset 1/8" to the left, the pilot bushing is rubbing on the fingers of the clutch pressure plate. the tube it rides on is also hitting the input shaft, has anyone else experienced this problem?

i agree, after looking at pictures of the transaxles, they are way too long.anybody ever heard of a gt40 long wheelbase !??

anyone ever look at the c6 corvette transaxles? any way to convert? i had a z06 and it appears to have a vestigal bellhousing? they're plenty strong,and should be relatively easy to find.

hello everyone, haven't posted in a long time! just recently found a way to get my gt40! i have purchased this gt40nz!from user DENIS. i hope to see the car between the 8th and the 12th, i used intercity lines and so far they seem good.chomping at the bit! have a great 4th!

any idea how much i would cost to convert this trans for mid engine use?i would like to replace the renault turbo box in my new(to me) gt40nz.

does anyone know how much altitude affects the performance of an engine at say 5500-6000 ft. i took a drive in an era in colorado and the performance was not up to par, ran great just felt slow.

the transmission (tiptronic) from a boxster is already set up to run midships . some porsche people have put superchargers on them to make about 325-350 hp. the s model stock makes 258 hp , this may be a good option as long as you dont over build the v8

how about a porsche sportmatic? sort of a manual with a torque converter instead of a clutch, you will still have to shift but no clutch!you could probably build one to handle 250-300hp.i know someone who raced a 911 with one and the trans never gave him any problems.

hey all , just a little confused! era sells fr AND rr flares a la car 1075 gulf car, for 2k. did the car really have flared front fenders? then RF sells rr 1075 flares for $300 a pr or a mk2 rr clip for 400 unfitted or 1600 on a turnkey car can anyone shed some light on the flare/rr clip issue?
