Roush crate engine head gasket issues?

I just heard from the guys at the shop that the issue has been resolved. I will post an update once I have a clear understanding of the details. Thanks Dave, Terry and Bill.

Roush crate engine head gasket issues?

I'm faced with a problem with the Roush engine in my Superformance GT40. Just wondering if anyone out there has had issues with head gaskets on Roush engines, or knows someone who has. Thanks.

SPF Roush 8 stack injection support

Back in 2007 I purchased one of the first SPF MKIs to come to the US. The engine I went with is a Roush small block with 8 stack injection. As I had hoped, the engine has performed perfectly until recently when the idle speed started creeping up. The problem I'm running into is that the ECU and...

Looking for nice pictures of garages

I thought I must have contributed to this thread but I don't see anything. This is the polebarn I tweeked to make a display garage. The dirty work happens in my house garage. The big murals are the swing-out doors.

Superformance GT40 MKII For Sale. ***SOLD***

Uh.......after chasing Kirby around Road America during the all GT40 "exhibition" session at the 2009 event I can personally attest that his car is quick and that "old Kirby" can indeed hustle a fast car around a big boy racing circuit.

    Roush 8 stack fuel leak

My Roush 8 stack injection system has started leaking at the end of the fuel rail. It's dripping right onto the distributor. I was lucky I noticed it before heading out on my first drive of the season. I'm assuming there's a bad o-ring at the end fitting. Before I start pulling things apart I...

Perhaps it was built from this early Superformance MKI that Mann bought back in 2007.

    RBT ZF Fluid Replacement

The ZF dash1 in my Mangusta has a fill plug on its tail casting. You fill through that opening until oil runs out and it's full. I've been thinking of using that datum line to make a dipstick to measure the oil level in the "new" ZF in my Superformance. (That assumes that the casting geometries...

    Be careful

Those of you who attended the GT40 event at the Redman Historics at Road America a few years back with no doubt recall turn five. This shunt happened there during the Ferrari challenge event the other day. Just goes to show that a little mistake at the wrong time and the wrong place can have...

    how to jack car,

I made these lift bars as my student project in the welding class I took. They sit on the jack pad. The rear bar had to be notched for clearance at the ZF. Way over designed but hey, it was for welding practice. (Sorry about the lousy phone picture.)

Superformance GT40 on "How It's Made"

SPF GT40 on "How It's Made-Dreamcars" Anyone else watch this segment? It really showed the "old school" methods used to build our "old school" cars. It was an especially big contrast with the show that followed immediately after it, which was the building of the hyper-tech, hyper-expensive...

    New Member - Hello

Several of us on this forum had the unique opportunity to be on the track at the same time as this car at the historic races held at Road America a few years back. This was taken on the false grid just prior to the start of the "GT40 only" session. It was cool to be gridded next to such an...

Loved the man. Here's my favorite music video. At the end he looks back over his shoulder at the camera. A very touching "goodbye" from one of the greats. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4b04jq7NB1s

    Mystery Solved

You guys are going to have to help me understand this. It would seem that the cap screw is subject to some side loading as well as tensile loading. My understanding is that high strength bolts have less ductility and are susceptible to fatigue failure if loaded in bending. In designing buildings...

    Dino Competizione at Pebble

Good for you, Jim. I happened to be vacationing in Florence when the glass box exhibition was going on. I had no idea the show was there and literally stumbled upon it when I went for a night time stroll after dinner. In the darkness I saw the sky glowing from some type of activity inside the...
