    Edelbrock pro-flo

Simon I have a Pro Flo 2 on my car. When we tried to map using the standard Edelbrock ECU we found we could not meet the emission requirements for IVA in 2012. We thus upgraded to run the Pro Flo hardware with an Omex 710 ECU which solved the challenges. Not sure how this experience relates...

    ZF 5DS25-2 Input Shaft spline

I have been in touch with McLeod and they advised the 272180R clutch plate is now discontinued. They now offer a 10.5” 272150R or a 11” 272151R that are made to order.

    ZF 5DS25-2 Input Shaft spline

Thanks I note that is a 10.5” plate. My current setup is for an 11” plate. I will research to see what else may be available with that size spline, although it may indicate a 1 1/8 spline might also work which would be 0.4mm smaller.

    ZF 5DS25-2 Input Shaft spline

Does anyone know what the correct input spline dimensions are for a BMW M1 spec ZF transaxle? I am trying to source a new clutch plate for my car and have measured the spline which appears to be 27.3mm which is a larger diameter than the 27mm that a Ford 1 1/16” diameter would be. I note in...

Wiper Arm for Lucas Wheel box

I am not sure. They were fitted when the car was completed in 2012. I will be seeing the person who did it at the weekend so I will ask. I know they made the hole around the wheelbox larger so perhaps that is why.

Wiper Arm for Lucas Wheel box

Daniel. This is a picture looking up from the driver footwell. You can see the bottom of the wheelbox and the pipe feeding to the washers. I know it was necessary to make the hole in the top of the chassis a bit larger to fit all of these items. Dave

    Stoneleigh

Hi Nick I know there is no official GT40 Enthusiasts Club stand at the show this year. Unfortunately with the change of date club members were already committed to other events over the weekend so it was decided not to attend. We will have a strong presence at the British Motor Show in...

Wiper Arm for Lucas Wheel box

Hi I have had a look through my archive and when I was researching 9/16" wheelboxes I received the following responses: Tex - "The 14.8mm wheelboxes are commonly fitted to MGB etc effectively the old Lucas 9/16" spindles." James Paddock - Had a TR7 wheelbox that was 14.8mm spline and was 50mm...

Wiper Arm for Lucas Wheel box

Daniel I have replied to your PM. I do not have a record of where I purchased my 9/16" spline wheelbox but there are several companies who sell Lucas wheelboxes if you search on Google (SVC, AES, Holden, Rimmer Bros). Would be worth contacting to see which ones may have the correct spline. I...

    Original chassis colour

My understanding is that it was a 1960's Ford colour Norwich/Ambassador Blue – PPG 11830 This is what I had my chassis painted in.

    Mk2 nostril hinges

I was advised that the original part was the boot hinge from a Ferrari 275GTB as at: https://www.ital-spares.com/brand/ferrari/1845/trunk-hinges-external-pair/paar-kofferdeckelschaniere-aussen They look very similar to the ones James has. I used Mini Mk1 door hinges on my car and machined...

    Avon CR6ZZ. age of tire

The date code looks like is just on one side of the tyre. I checked some old ones I have and on one side it has a code to the right of the AT code you mentioned above. To the left of the AT code is the E11 marking. My old tyres have 2814 which I assume means week 28 2014. Regards Dave

    Rcr 40-31

Chris I am still running the Edelbrock EFI Pro-Flo 2 throttle body and injector hardware on my car (331 SBF). We got rid of the Edelbrock ECU and replaced it with an Omex 710 unit to provide sufficient mapping capability to pass UK IVA emissions tests. As well as this we fitted 2 4 cylinder...
