My 351W was stroked to 392 and came from Ford Racing--crate engine. I put 4 Webers on it. It has 9.5:1 compression ratio. You might try to find a special head gasket (thicker) to increase volume of the combustion chamber enough to reduce to 10.5:1. Good Luck!

I have CAV #107 with wide suede seats and would like to trade them for the standard narrower ones. Does anybody have a pair to trade/sell. Mine are in new condition. Thanks, Tom Hudgins

Peter, I just saw your post. I purchased a new 351W from Ford-crate engine. I did not use the front sump oil pan or the MSD distributor that came with the engine. If you are interested in them, let me know. Thanks Tom

Mark, I have a CAV Mark I with the Guerney bubble. I am 6'0" and fit comfortably with helmet. I even put extra cushion under the driver seat to raise my line of view an inch higher. No problems. Tom

Mark, I suggest you contact Johann Keyser at CAV-US. He is located near you. CAV now offers the CAV GT in component form. You can purchase various stages and do as much of the assembly as you wish. His contact info is at www.cav-us.com. Tom

I do not have time to check this whole thread, but on the ignition side of the question--use your timing light on each plug wire as if it were cylinder no. 1 and see if it lights up like it should. If yes, you know you have fire at each cylinder. On the Weber issue, I have 4-48 IDAs and love...
