    Rumbles SLC Build

Ours are much more upright. Very close to having the seat bottom level and only the built in angle of the seat back.

    Another SLC first impression

All the interior surfaces including the seats are unfinished. The folks that build track oriented cars tend to leave them like that. The folks like us (me and Ruth) that want a street car source all the interior surface materials separately as they are not included with the kit.

    Yos' SLC Build Thread

IF you want cheaper sound deadening, check out second skin or Cascade products. For the most part, they're all the same.

Performance specs for various SL-C builds and the engine / transmissio combos used...

Re: Performance specs for various SL-C builds and the engine / transmissio combos use I don't think you're going to find much because people either haven't finished their cars yet, or they just don't go and record that stuff. For example, I've owned performance cars for the last 15 years and...

    Craig's SLC

Cam is selling a lot of SLCs these days. One face-peeling tour of the Dallas suburbs with him sold me as well.

    Rear view Camera

Bringing this back up to the top. Our plan is to use the mirrors on the SLC for side views but to add a camera dedicated to the rear view. Pondering the right coverage and we're wondering if for this purpose that narrower is better than superwide.

    Windshield Filler Strip

Aaah, got it. Yuu slip this around the edges of the glass, and THEN apply the adhesive to attach the windshield to the body. Anybody have a closeup pic of the finished install?

    Windshield Filler Strip

This might be obvious to most, but not to me. How is this product oriented in the gap? Open side up? Round side up? Sideways? Huh. . .whaaat?

    Windshield Filler Strip

I apologize for my ignorance, but where is this being used on the SLC?

SL-C panels done in carbon fiber...

I guarantee you can get it done in carbon fiber by somebody. That's a simple money-solvable request. Is the cost benefit there though for doing it, because how much can the entire fiberglass body weigh? If it wasn't so awkwardly shaped, one person can probably lift the whole thing.

    Superlite GTA

It would be interesting if you called DMV today to see if they have any left for 2012. I'd bet that they do. But be warned, its not something they deal with very often so you may have trouble finding someone who understands what you're asking.

    Superlite GTA

While it may have been true when the SB100 option first rolled out, the numbers disappearing on the first day is now merely urban legend. However, there is nothing that prevents you from getting the number before your car is finished. . .or started.

#18 SLC Eagle racing at 25hr Thunderhill

Interesting video from the Radical. What's the story with the tail lights on that Porsche?

    SLC Aftermarket Seat Option

Maybe not. I sat in them at SEMA. I'm 6ft and 170lbs. Apparently if you are over 5' 9" your head will hit the ceiling as the bottoms have too much cushioning. Also, if I added approx. 90 lbs I don't think I'd be very comfortable in them, and/or I'd completely overwhelm the shape of the seat.

Check Allan's build log. He has a pair and they fit. And they're relatively cheap.

At first I thought you were kidding Cam. Sounded like someone was playing Call of Duty. Sounded more like a machine gun in the beginning.

    Shift knobs

From the Momo rep I got the following. "The insert is a rubber grommet that fits inside our shift knob. So as long as the factory post is 8 to 15mm in diameter and round then our shift knob should fit. Our shift knobs come with 6 inserts to cover the range of difference size posts."

    Shift knobs

Killing some time today and started looking around at shift knobs. I'm wondering about specs of the shifter rod. Anybody know the diameter and thread pitch? Also, when looking at specs for shift knobs, can anyone explain what the "Insert" dimension means on the following spec? Height: 2.83...
