A tapered, radiused inset....definitely not fiberglass 101, but if anybody can accomplish it and make it look good, I'd bet on you. Time to drag out the old boat hull!

Check out Fastcaps. They sell a no mar countersink that provides for a screw and an inset, self adhesive flush cap. The caps are available in a variety of colors. I think that with a little detail work, you could probably match your carbon fiber close enough so nobody would be able to tell there...

Scott...are you planning to do anything to 'weather' all that glass work before spending precious $$$$$ on sexy paint work?

A small tip to add to Scott's tricks for cutting aluminum with carbide blades. In our shop, we keep a stick of beeswax close at hand beside any saw that might be used to cut aluminum. Coating the blade first (by simply touching the stick to the rotating blade) greatly reduces the risk of the...
