The gate is spring loaded. As I am going to be racing the car, I felt that something other than the stock shifter was absolutely necessary. The side-throw was way too little for me, and I was afraid of missing a shift. Couple that with the lack of positive engagement/feel, no self-centering...

I have installed one, last year.

We are still using the kit-supplied cables.

Guys, I used Deutsche Auto Parts to source my R8 shifter. If you want a link: Audi R8 Shifter Assembly - 420711050 Let them know you want to put it in a SLC, they will help you out.

I think you may still have issues with the heat from the headers and that cable, even with the heat shielding. How big is the gap?

Does anyone have any information on the adjustable sway bar kit / setup for the SLC? I ordered and paid for those when I originally ordered my car eons ago, but they still have not arrived from RCR. At this point I feel I may have to fabricate my own, so information on mounting, parts...

Very nice. Would need a wheel retention system such as a locking pin or the like to be used for motorsports, I would say. I'm sure the SLC race car uses something different.
