    Centroid Fuel Sender

I have been thru 2 of the RCR SLC Centroid fuel senders. Neither was able to keep its settings for more than 5 weeks. A common failure was reverting to reading FULL while driving part full. Centroid sent me a data logger to watch what was happening. They never came up with a solution although...

    Battery/Starter Dilema

Frank, The real test for me that isolated the problem to the starter was a very large marine cranking lead acid battery connected 3 feet from starter terminal with 00 gauge positive and 00 gauge neg to starter mounting bolt. Solenoid engage signal from same battery. This isolates everything in...

    Braided Hoses Throughout!!

Hi Shaun, I used the solid brake and clutch lines that came with my SLC kit. My Ultima GTR has all flex lines. These cars are similar so a good comparison. Brakes and clutch on each have a solid feel, very much the same. Good Luck, Jerry

Is the SL-C radiator outlet at an efficient location?

I molded the battery enclosure. It adds just a few ounces and protects the battery from a direct blast of warm radiator air.

Is the SL-C radiator outlet at an efficient location?

Thank you for your concern Neil. The battery is a Braille Lithium Ion so vapor problems do not exist. The photo containing the battery is an old one so here are two current that show more detail.

Is the SL-C radiator outlet at an efficient location?

Will is right about the fan mounting to the radiator. I live in Florida and regularly sit in snowbird traffic with 90+ and have no engine (LS7) overheating problems, it's me that overheat!

    Fiberglass stress cracking

Looking at your photos the crack spans the Aerolatch and dowel area. There would be some strain in that area but not nearly enough to cause your problem, unless you have a bad resin/glass ratio or inadequate laminate thickness. I would suspect thickness especially if the laminate has the...

    ac belt part #

    Parking Brake Woes

I still have the calipers fitted but your are right Chuck the parking brake is not effective. One reason being that there is no balance bar at the lever cable end to evenly distribute the load on the pads.

    First Drive

Colin, the Koso has both pull up and pull down resisters built in you do not need to add anything externally. Look at pages 30 and 31 in it's manual. On page 30 you set the input pulse for your tacho. I have an LS7 and set Koso on value 2. On page 31 set the tacho impulse it can be either high...

    London Tower Block Fire

Very sad so many people died and were injured in what was an avoidable fire. That building should have had Phenolic foam insulation and glass reinforced Phenolic resin panels. This material does not burn and for cost is quite viable for an application like this. It also makes great lightweight...
