Anyone interested in using a 944 transmission?

I have someone who says they have designed an adapter for this transmission that doesn't require modifications to the input shaft and uses off the shelf flywheel and clutch parts. He is looking for someone to make the parts. If there is any interest I will pursue it.

How do they handle the whole clutch not in the bellhousing issue?

I haven't seen his whole design but the adapter plate is thicker than what I usually use and he is using a flywheel with small diameter clutch. I think he said it is from a Chrysler. He has designed a pilot bearing that does not need the end of the input shaft machined and some way to install a hydraulic throwout bearing. The thick adapter plate kills it for most people as space is a premium in most cars.

The adapter for the LS to the 944 doesn't use a small clutch it uses a 10.5" clutch good for 500 hp. Thank you Gary
