Bearing retainers

Doing a thorough scan of the moving parts in the front on my Superformance, I noticed the left side bearing retainer ring was held in place by one small bolt and the right side by two. Obviously one got loose. Has anyone had any issues with these retainers disappearing... Could spell disaster... Other than using locktite, which I don't think there was any, any other suggestions or experiences?

Thanks Rick, I have it. Assuming you mean the tool with the pegs on it that insert into the bearing retainer?

Yep. That's the one.

Have had some come loose until starting using blue loctite. Also changed front ones to regular hex head cap screws. You can tighten those a little more than the allen button heads. Unfortunately won't clear the axle shafts at the rear.
