Car show classes

We are taking our car to a local car show, just a small shine and show kind of thing. actually we are taking two, the class list they have doesnt fit either car. Its just for fun, family will be there and just hanging out, but what class would you put your car in??? I decided to put it in Import and Specialty as that seems the obvious choice but what other classes would it belong in?
40 and older
50 to 59 stock
60 to 69 stock
70 and newer stock
39 and older street rod
40 and newer street rod
Muscle car
custom
3 truck classes
Import and specialty
best project
Rat rod

There is a string of local car shows over the summer in the surrounding towns and they all run that list of classes. Maybe I should get them to add a Supercar class?
It should be fun regardless, I took a cyclone to it last year and won a trophy. Its no show car but for those that knew what it was they were happy to see it.

Here in my neck of the woods it would be in the import /specialty class.

I've had to deal with this problem for many years and eventually got a tough enough hide on me to accept "not winning" to something the judges considered solidly "in the category", but in my humble opinion didn’t warrant the win (no check for dirty fingernails or rough hands). It’s all for fun, and the comments and conversation you get will vastly outweigh the plastic trophy.

yeah I did put it in the Import specialty class. be against the rice rockets I guess. this is a local show, judged by the public. last year I took a merc cyclone with a dirty engine (429) and took second in muscle cars, beating some really pretty cars...they hauled in on a trailer, Mine is a daily driver and the crowds liked it. but its all for fun, entry benefits chamber of commerce so its all good. support the local economy this year bringing two, the GT40 and a Lancia Scorpion. locals have seen them both but still ask what they hec they are!

Hey Terry...you are so right lol. we had fun just hanging out but the award for best IMPORT and Specialty went to a 23 t bucket street rod... So car shows arent for us as it seems to be another good ol boys club. We will just stick with driving the Car and using to go to the store and buy milk!
