I mounted the piston to the upper plate as per AJ's design. In my case, the torque from the L bracket onto the bolts was such that the bolts would bind in the lower track. To alleviate the torque on the bolts, I mounted the L bracket directly to the upper plate. Since the bolts no longer had any torque, the plate slides very smooth. Thank yo AJ...
