Does anyone have George Cocran's phone number @ Kustom Metal werks? Has anyone received their pipes? I'm still waiting.

Well,

I'm still waiting too. I did receive the cross member that he modified for the pipes but that is it. He claims that the coater has everyones' pipes and has had them for five months or more. Either way, the short of it is that I've got no pipes and sent funds about 1 year ago. I know the pipe work is good, but this is bording on ridiculous. Anyone else?

Ron, I agree. I haven't received anything not even a phone call. It's been soooo long I've lost his number and apparently the e-mail has changed. If you have either please let me know. Hell with the money I sent him I could have made twice the money even a bank would have done something for my income during this indurance wait. I may just head up to Idaho for a day trip if I hear nothing soon.

Now I am worried,I have an exhaust system on order and it is supposed to be completed and delivered at the end of this month.I have paid in full for it also.I spoke with George a couple of weeks ago and he assured me that it will be on time!!??Is this his normal practice??

If they want too much money as a deposit, thats a danger sign. You can get his attention by working with the local police, the DA or the court system. I would not mess with this individual, no matter how good his work is, if what you say is true. Most of the time it is connected to other problems, that can never be fixed. I rent out property, and thats a game that takes me and the ones that cant behave to see the JUDGE. I have had very good results.

I'm not worried about getting the parts of getting ripped off - George is a standup guy and will do what he says. His work is truly excellent. He has done GT40 exhausts for all the replicas out there that are common in the US - ERA, RF, CAV/GTD, Sabre, etc. Lots of folks on this board have used him and some have already received their complete systems.

Now as to when you'll get them, that is a big question.

I have received delivery of my 351 headers from George. Pictures on Ron's web site. It did take a bit longer through the coating process than I'd have thought necessary.

To my knowledge George is a stand up guy. Sure hope we don't have new data here!

I am not doubting George ,as being a great craftsman or a standup guy,If I did I would not have sent him payment in advance,my comment was a concern as to whether my parts would be on time.I have been led down the garden path before with previous projects so it is nothing new,just an inconvenience.

 

Has anyone had George make a set of exhaust for GTD with 351W and Porsche transaxle? How can I contact George?

 

I believe he's a good guy and I trust I'll get the pipe but let's get bak to my question, WHAT IS HIS PHONE NUMBER?

I received a voice message from George last week, advising that the coater (Microcoat)
is the holdup. I've been waiting 7 months.

I would recommend anyone ordering pipes from George, to specify non-coated and have them
coated yourself. Jet-Hot and others turn this
stuff around in DAYS...not months!

I guess George has a "special price" with
Microcoat, so his stuff gets last attention.

I spoke with George this evening and he assures me that he is working hard to get everyone their exhaust systems,heat shields have been mailed and pipes are on their way to the coating specialists,he said that he now has some good help and is catching up quite rapidly with past orders.........Good news

I also paid in full about a year ago and am still waiting. I have tried to call him many times and his kids answer and say he's there. After I give my name he's suddenly not there. He is not returning any of my calls. He might as well be dead.

Welcome to my world!!! This has been the story of my entire build. Jay can attest to this. I to am waiting on parts from George: change of O2 sensor bung placement on collectors, muffler and heatshield brackets (he has my muffler and heat shield), 9 hole vent and attach hardware for sway bars. I think George has been practicing his newly learned panel working skills too much and not producing items that he promised and are his bread and butter. I don't want to get pissy with guys that owe me parts, but there has to come a point when seemingly nice guys who you have been working with for a while reach the point of being guilty of malfeasance.

To give credit where it is due, John Hester has been good to work with and has produced when he said he would. John, can you light a fire under George???

Gentlemen,
I received a stainless muffler/heat shield today that George told me he had sent only a few days ago,
things may be looking up.Here's hoping!
