FIA 1965 GT40 289 ci Engine

1965 Ford GT40 engine complete and ready for inspection.
Mathwall Engineering supplied 289 ci V8 motor to suit Mk I Ford GT40, but would also work in a Mk I or Mk II AC Cobra with different inlet manifold.

This is a complete engine consisting of:-
1. Period 1965 six bolt C5/601AE block which has been bored +30 thou, crack tested and includes excellent original crankshaft, front cover, water pump and GT40 baffled/wide winged sump pan.
2. Pair of new/old stock 1965 iron GT40/hipo cylinder heads with large GT40 valves and are historic racing compliant.
3. GT40 flywheel with triple plate Borg & Beck clutch (good used). I can include a GT40 matching starter motor depending upon the offer received.
4. FAV GT40 inlet manifold (serial 1036) with quad Italian 48 IDA Webbers and aluminium turkey tray.
5. Set of eight new KP high performance +30 thou pistons, with matching piston rings sec
6. Set of eight new Craeur high performance connecting rods to suit above.
7. New/old stock mild race camshaft, new set of solid lifters and period push rods.
8. Rare period Ford XE crankshaft damper, Mallory distributor and pulleys.
The above is stripped for inspection, but will build to make a fully compliant pre-1966 motor to suit a Ford GT40 or AC Cobra. With original exhaust system, it will put out a standard 370 BHP, with the bonus that a number of the used parts have seen period action “back in the day”.

I also have other unique GT40 parts and will endeavour to get some photographs together over the next few days e.g. FISPA fuel regulator, proper SW fuel pump, used Kevlar GT40 bag tanks (out of date for FIA purposes, but original and perfectly usuable), set of 4x15" BRM magnesium alloys, plus other items when I remember what they are!
