And I always thought the Kiwi was a flightless bird. It appears he has cobbled a set of wings on a commercial Hover craft. It looks like a lot of fun.

That Skyboard looks very interesting, first I've heard of it. Actually, this could have some applications for high altitude jumps in special forces, with a parachute on of course. You could drop a team at high altitude in friendly space and let them glide in to a selected landing zone potentially hundreds of miles away....hmmmmm.

I would imagine about 2 to 2.5 miles per every thousand feet so 100 to 125 miles would mean pressure breathing systems for a drop at FL500. Quite an easy target as well but could be a lot of fun on test flying and trials.
