Ford Cam and Crank sensor wire colours

All

Does anyone out there know which wires are which on the standard Ford Cam and Crank angle sensors

The plug on the crank angle sensor has 2 wires on it
Grey/Yellow and Black/Red I would guess that the Grey/Yellow is the Ref wire and the Black/Red is the Zero volt wire

Similarly the Cam angle sensor has 3 wires
Light Blue/Orange (which may be the 8 volt supply)
Dark Blue with spiral orange trace which is probably the sync wire as it is shielded.
and Black/White which seems likely to be Zero Volt.

Can anyone tell me if my assumptions here are correct or not

John

The crank sensor blk/pnk (not red?) is + and the gry/yel is -. dkblu/or cam sensor output to ecu. blk/wht ground. red 12v switched. this is from mitchelle on demand for a 98 explorer, i dont know why i have red showing and you dont, you have the dark blue, maybe the same wire as the others seem to line up.

Thanks Eric

The black/pink wire on the crank sensor is OK. Probably just my poor eyesight in the garage.

I agree also with you conclusions on the cam sensor. You have a red where I have light blue/orange, but these appear to be the same wire.

John
