Fortyfication 96

The December issue of Fortyfication is being posted out today. Everyone who is a Club member for 2012 or 2013, or who advertises with us, will receive a copy and a Christmas card. Members will also receive a directory of names, phone numbers and car details of all 2012/13 members. Please contact Max if yours hasn't arrived in a week or so (for overseas members).
This magazine specialises in the MkIV GT40, of which Mike Teske has built 7 re-creations. The article tells a little of the originals' histories as well as Mike's quest to obtain Ford drawings and fabricate accurate parts, particularly honeycomb chassis.
In addition, in no particular order, we have Claude Nahum's account of his travails at the Le Mans Classic with P/1016, an update on Safir Engineering Ltd, more detail about the discovery of P/1047 in Japan and an interesting article on what ethanol-based petrol does to a GT40's innards and how to combat it.
Lots more besides; please post your reactions.
Keep the material coming in - the copy deadline for Fortyfication 97 is 10th February 2013.
